Maria’s Reading: A Promised Land by Barack Obama

While I was alive during Barack Obama’s first campaign, I focused on more pressing issues at the time, such as Webkinz, Just Dance 3, and my 2nd-grade science fair.

A Promised Land is a candid, raw, and sometimes humorous account of Obama’s childhood, early years in Chicago, and first term as president.

Obama’s presidency was a snapshot of the sentiments of the American population in 2008. An attitude of positivity towards hope, change, and the promise of America. 10/10 recommend.
