Savvy Investors Know Where to Get Their News—Do You?
Here’s the truth: there is no magic formula when it comes to building wealth.
Much of the mainstream financial media is designed to drive traffic, not good decision-making. Whether it’s disingenuous headlines or relentless scare tactics used to generate clicks, modern business news was not built to serve individual investors.
Luckily, we have The Daily Upside. Created by Wall Street insiders and bankers, this fresh, insightful newsletter delivers valuable insights that go beyond the headlines.

READING 📚
Emily’s Reading: Witchcraft Back at it this month with more witch content lol. The book walks through 13 historic witch trials across Europe, Africa, and the Americas. It takes us through a journey of society’s perspective of witchcraft, from puritanical communities to present day social media (with Stormy Daniels). It’s well-researched and has a ton of content. HIGHLY recommend. | Maria’s Reading: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone |
EATING 🍴
Emily’s Eating: Pizza :) Pizzeria Lola in Minneapolis - check out their Chef’s Table episode on Netflix! Kim Ann is a James Beard winner with two Minneapolis restaurants. Also - add us on Beli - it’s like the GoodReads for food. You can rate, review, and track your favorite restaurants. | Maria’s Eating: PIZZA! |
PLAYING 🎲
Emily’s Playing: Martha documentary This documentary is SO GOOD. I honestly didn’t know all that much about Martha, even though she’s a household name. I’m also watching The Crown on Netflix👑 | Maria’s Playing: Touristy Chicago Things One of my best friends from college, Harrison, came to Chicago last weekend. We did all of the touristy Chicago things, including hitting up the bean! |
OBSESSING 🤩
Emily’s Obsessing: Pestle app If you like to save a lot of recipes on Insta, TikTok, and Pinterest You’ve probably seen some ads for for recipe-saving apps. I recently downloaded the app called Pestle, and I LOVE it. I had so many recipes saved from Instagram that I never used, because I forgot I had them. I finally uploaded them to the app, and made FOUR new recipes this week. It’s so easy to use, and a great place to keep track of everything. | Maria’s Obsessing: Dirty Martinis Nothing gets me excited like a happy hour dirty martini. I always feel classy with my little olives in my little coupe glass. Obsessed, to say the least.🍸 |
RECOMMENDING 🗨️
Emily’s Recommending: Kelly + Jones I discovered this brand about a year ago at a little home decor boutique. I’ve started with their line of incense products and I’m obsessed. Their scents are so earthy and luxurious. I recently tried their perfume. Highly recommend the Mezcal Verde scent - notes: Limón | Fern | White Sage | Violet Leaf | Birch Incense “Spirited fragrance of vineyard & valley - made to pair with wine, mezcal, and cocktails” |
TREATING 🍦
Emily’s Treating: Booked a trip I just booked a trip with my best friend to Iceland and Ireland!!! We used the IcelandAir Stopover program where you pick a destination, and you can “stopover” in Iceland for no additional airfare charge. We’re doing 3 days in Iceland and 3 days in Dublin. Start sending me your recs!! We’ll be traveling next spring 😆 | Maria’s Treating: Christmas Tree! 🎄 |
